Overabundance of bracelets?
At some point in your bracelet making career, you may realize that you’ve run out of friends to give bracelets to. So the question becomes, what does one do with all the bracelets?
Typically I tell the kids to include bracelets in any holiday gift exchange as a special “extra”. By realizing that many kids can only give homemade gifts away to people due to their lack of income, bracelets are a wonderful way to give a present to somebody special that goes beyond a pretty crayoned picture.
I have one family with two girls who are really talented at making bracelets. At the end of each summer I spend with them, we have an impressive lemonade stand that includes the three B’s: beverages (lemonade), brownies and bracelets. At first everything is sold individually at reasonable prices of $0.25 per item. Towards the end of our sale there’s a bargain price of all three items (or whatever’s left at that point) for $0.50. If the bracelets aren’t selling they are given away for free.
